How do I get stones fast?

I know I get stones by hitting rocks, but I want to make a rock arch to have at the top of an incline. And there's just so many rocks, shovels, and Nook miles tickets I gave. I have all of those, don't hey me wrong. But I currently have about 25,000 Nook miles tickets. I guess there really isn't a way to get stones quick.
